Transfering from GoDaddy.com

This demo assumes you have a domain name registered through godaddy.com, and starts from their home page

Now let’s learn how to transfer your domain name away from this registrar, and into the domain registry of your choice

Domain name transfers must be initiated at the new registrars website…. that is, the website for the domain registrar where you want your domain name transferred to

However, you must first ensure that your domain name is not locked, or being prevented from being transferred out of this registry….. and that’s what we’re going to do now…..

1) Enter your GoDaddy.com account Login Name and Password in the boxes here

2) Then click the Go button

You are now logged in to your GoDaddy.com account

3) Click the Domain Manager link here

4) Then click on the domain name you wish to manage

5) Click the Manage link next to “Locked”

6) Uncheck the box next to Lock Domains

7) Click OK when finished

That’s it! The lock has been removed from the domain name, so it can now be transferred to another domain registry

You must now go to the website of the domain name registrar you wish to transfer to, and initiate a domain transfer request

8) When finished, click the Log-out link here

4) Click on the Registered domains link here

5) Select General Settings from the menu

6) Click Disable next to Registrar-Lock

7) Then click Save

That’s it! The lock has been removed from the domain name, so it can now be transferred to another domain registry

1) Enter your Username and Password in the boxes here

2) Then click Signin

3) Click the Domain Names link

You are now logged in to your DynaDot.com account

4) Then click the Domain Name for which you want to remove the lock

5) Change the lock status to unlocked, then click Submit

That’s it! The lock has been removed from the domain name, so it can now be transferred to another domain registry

You must now go to the website of the domain name registrar you wish to transfer to, and initiate a domain transfer request

6) When finished, click the Sign Out link here

4) Click the My Domains link here

5) Select the domain name you wish to manage… in this case, 12456domain.net

6) Click here…..

7) … and select Unlock these domains

8) Then click Go

That’s it! The lock has been removed from the domain name, so it can now be transferred to another domain registry
